The only problem with Pumice Crete I know of happens when they are used as roofs. If the water proofing membrane, plastic, tar paper or cement stucco, leaks the material soaks up a lot of water and can, this is rumored, structurally fail. IIRC the Santa Fe building code has some restrictions.
